![]() ![]() I brought a couple nicer ones for dinners, but still dressed it down with sandals. What to wear: I think easy breezy dresses are the way to go. That was about a 45 minute drive each time. They had transportation ready to pick us up and take us back. We flew into the Liberia Airport in Costa Rica. It was my first time ever flying Frontier, but everything went well and there was hardly anyone on the plane. Hike – they have a great hike right on the resort.Kids Club – the boys just went to the kids club for about two hours, but enjoyed it when they did!.So it was incredible to watch them surf again – just on the other side of the world. SURFX – we were fresh off our summer in San Sebastián, and the boys had been learning to surf there.The spa is excellent, and my mom and I enjoyed spending time after a treatment.We also went zip lining at Palmeres which the boys loved.The weather was not great that day and it ended up raining on us – but we swam in the rain, and none of us were phased. Our favorite thing was chartering El Jefe out for whale watching, fishing, a beach lunch, and paddle boarding.What we did: We did a lot in our quick trip! There are cooking demonstrations/classes, and rum tastings – but we didn’t get to it that time. It’s still considered their property, but you will need a 10 minute shuttle. We loved the ambiance, and the food was incredible. JB and I went while the boys and Nina stayed back with room service. We loved dinners and breakfasts at Bahia, had a wonderful Italian meal at Pesce, But our favorite was Nemare. So even their nice restaurants, the staff won’t bat an eye lash if you bring your kids. Where we ate: Like all four seasons properties, they are well equipped for kids. If you need more room, we shot at the new Casa Las Olas – which is an incredible 6 bedroom home, with sweeping views, and everything you could imagine! Due to varying elevations and environments, there are multiple microclimates around the country. There are also treehouse suites, which offer a bit more privacy! Costa Rica has a tropical climate with two seasons: dry season and rainy (or, green, as locals may call it) season. My mom stayed next door in a bedroom with a king. We stayed in a king room with a pull out couch. We had a view of the ocean, and plenty of monkeys from the screened in porch. From the moment you arrive, they greet you with fresh coconuts to start hydrating. Where we stayed: Four Seasons Peninsula Papagayo. Similarly like what we did with Four Seasons Orlando – we shot some content with their photographer on some days, and the rest of the time we were free to enjoy CR Peninsula Papagayo! We went back in August for a work trip with FS Costa Rica. The time we went last our kids were just 4 and 6. Today I wanted to share about our trip to Four Seasons Costa Rica, with our elementary age kids. ![]()
